DAY 7
After another night of Charlie playing musical beds and with a rather poorly feeling Struan, we were packed up and gave the house a going over.

We then wandered down to the Slappie to meet Matilda, who chummed us round the harbour and showed us where to spot the seals. Grace tried calling the dolphins, I tried not to die (could taste the shellfish 😬🤢) Struan was feeling sorry for himself and Charlie was trying his best to break free and jump into the harbour!

As the tide was right in we could only take our last few steps on the beach before saying cheerio to Matilda, waving goodbye to Burghead and most definitely putting Burghead back onto next year’s to do list.

We took the Old Military Road to Granton On Spey, couple of nature pees and a stop at the House of Bruar so Struan could use a posh loo! and that saw us home… oh no wait.. Tiso at Perth was also used as a pee stop!

This was Chelsea’s first time over the Queensferry Crossing!
Safe to say we had an EPIC week, some more than others are suffering sleep deprivation, but definitely a trip of a lifetime. ❤️
We asked everyone to choose their favourite part of the week:
Grace- my favourite part was when Snuz made me glow in the dark and the best thing to see was the cows 🤦🏼♀️🤣
Struan- my favourite part was staying at the bnb (so the camping trip went well 🤣) (#boy can’t survive without wifi) and best thing to see was the seals.
Snuz- breakfast on the beach, swimming in the sea (warmer than expected.. not regretting forgetting wetsuit) and driving epic roads!
Chelsea- seeing all the beautiful places and NOT DRIVING THE EPIC ROADS! #ThanksSnuz!
Charlie- seeing different tractor in their natural habitats 🤣🤣
To conclude our superb week away I’d like to thank Chelsea for being more organised than me, keeping me sane and being a legend with wee Charlie.. and thanks to the kids for making me realise stopping at one child was the correct decision!
FUNNIEST QUOTE OF THE WEEK: goes to Grace: “what does apple juice taste like?” Snuz:”Apples” Grace:”so like oranges?!”
943 miles covered with a dodgy sounding steering rack.. dont worry it’s on the to-do list before next year, also thanks to Ryan (TD TYRES) for ensuring our brakes were spot on for our adventure.
